Your hosts, Karen and Gary Shelton, invite you to come to the Milford Guesthouse, a Michigan bed and breakfast, located in beautiful Oakland County. If getting away from it all sounds good to you, then you'll love your stay at the Guesthoue in scenic southeast Michigan.
The 1964 two-story Colonial home, sits on a one-acre lot surrounded by large pine and maple trees. You'll feel very secluded by the in-ground pool,or sitting in the shade under the old Magnolia tree. Enjoy the beautiful lush garden and ponds as you wander the grounds at your leisure.
Your accommodations include three charming and very well-appointed rooms, all with private baths and separate guest entrances. Each room has a large veranda overlooking the pool and gardens. Guests enjoy many common areas inside the home, as well as outside, private romantic areas and a hot tub.
Check-in time is 4:00-7:00 daily, and when you have settled in, join the innkeepers for social hour with complimentary wine and cheese from 5:00-6:00.
In the morning, a full breakfast is provided by Karen, who is a culinary student and personal chef.
When you are ready for activities, take a trip to beautiful Kensington Metro Park, within walking distance. Enjoy bike trails, fishing, canoeing, boating, hiking, a nature area, water slide, picnicking, and golfing. Milford has a wonderful bike trail eco-tour though Kensington Metropark to Island Lake Recreaton Area and the Village of Milford. There are virtually miles and miles of trails, so make sure to bring your bikes; also Mystic Creek Golf Course and Dunham Lake Golf Course are just a few miles away. Make sure to take in the Historic Village of Milford, just three miles away, with lots of shopping, antiques, festivals throughout the summer, and more than 27 restaurants from fine dining to fast food.
