"Honey, Take Me Fishing" His-n-Hers Fishing Tournament
June 14, 1998- The wind was strong but so was the hearts of the participants as they braved the wind and waves to compete in the tournament. The 16 couples making up 8 teams may not have had a fantastic day of fishing but they did their best. With the cookout the night before and the donated door prizes everyone went home feeling like a winner.

SECOND PLACE - Larry and Linda Hiserote, Glen Elder, Kansas; Mark and Lorie Bonine, Plattsmouth, Nebraska
THIRD PLACE - Ross and Shelly Utecht, Superior, Nebraska; Robert and Gina Chitty, Beloit, Kansas
Largest Carp or Drum - Cyndee McCullough, Simpson, Kansas
Waconda Lake Association would like to thank all the sponsors for their donations and everyone that pitched in to help make the tournament a success.
October 4, 1998- The WLA will have "The Fall His and Her Fishing Tournament". The tournement well start at 8:00 A.M. and sign up well start at 7:00 A.M. at the Osage boat ramp, Glen Elder State Park. Entry fee will be $25.00 per couple and you can contact us for more information.
October 17th or 24th, 1998- Members of the WLA and the Solomon Valley Eagles Aerie 3507 are planning a tree planting and cookout at the Glen Elder State Park depending upon the weather. You can contact the Eagles at 785-738-2952 or the WLA at the e-mail addresses below.
