The state's largest tree is located on Federal land southwest of Ozawkie. This tree measures over 28 feet around the trunk and is over 111 feet tall. The tree is an Eastern Cottonwood, which is also the State Tree of Kansas. You may visit this tree by driving about 1 mile west of Ozawkie on Highway 92. A parking lot is provided just south of the highway.
