Lone Star Lake

Swimming, paddle boating, canoeing, fishing and picnicking are just some of the fun activities to enjoy at Lone Star Lake, just 12 miles southwest of Lawrence.

This scenic lake has a public swimming area, camping facilities, a picnic area with children's playground equipment and a marina.

Lone Star Marina rents a variety of boats and is open April 1 - October 1.

Directions:

From 23rd & Iowa in Lawrence, drive two miles south on 59 Highway. Turn west on Douglas County Road 458 and drive seven miles. Turn south on County road 1 and drive three miles to Lone Star Lake.
