The Finney County Historical Museum, located at the entrance to Finnup Park, is a cultural institution dedicated to collecting, preserving and displaying the heritage of our communities.
The museum features permanent and revolving exhibits, community programs, educational tours and research facilities. Changing exhibits address topics of local and national interest. Permanent exhibits portray the history of the Kansas plains and the development of the cattle industry in the area.
A wonderful gift shop filled with products from Kansas, educational gifts, a wide range of items representing the ethnic diversity of the region and a large selection of books is located off the exhibit hall.
The Museum offers a rewarding and enjoyable experience for all ages! A visit provides a look into the spirit, past and present, of the southwest Kansas plains.
