Princeton, Kansas

Princeton, 6 miles south of Ottawa, was first a stop for the Leavenworth, Lawrence and Galveston Railroad. Once a thriving community, in the early 1900s, fires claimed many homes and the population dropped. The railroad tracks are gone and have now made way for the first hiking and bicycling rail-trail development to be undertaken by Kansas.

There are two early churches and a few interesting homes.
