Warkentin Homestead was the home that Bernard Warkentin built when he moved from Russia to Kansas in 1874. Once registered on the National Register of Historic Places, Warkentin Homestead has recently been upgraded to a National Historic Landmark. Other historic landmarks located at the homestead are a barn and a carriage house. Warkentin Homestead is currently a residence. Tours are given by request only, but the owners are changing to make the site more available to the tourist.
