Part of the history of the French speaking Swiss and French who settled in the country in the early to mid-1870s, an old stone schoolhouse and the home of a founding community member dating from 1870 still stand. Also on display are a 1910 woodman's lodge that has become a community center and a 1909 Queen Anne home.
To visit Old Neuchatel take Hwy. 63 south to the Jackson/Nemaha County Road (Parallel Rd.) and drive west nine miles.
