Nestled in the Mill Valley, along the picturesque Kansas Flint Hills, is the small town of Paxico. The beginning of Paxico dates back to the mid 1800's and was once part of the Pottawatomie Indian Reservation.
Currently the historic buildings of Paxico house six antique shops. Our quaint shops feature a large selection of quality antiques, stoves, quilts, collectibles, American furniture and primitives.
For the traveler, our Cliff-N-Creek Campground is a natural beauty spot along Mill Creek, where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing, a picnic or just enjoy the natural wildlife. Also for the motorist traveling through is a full-service station with an experienced mechanic on duty most days.
While in Paxico, you can enjoy a tasty meal at one of the several eating places, including a sandwich deli and old fashioned ice cream parlor, or pack a picnic lunch and head for the city park.
And, just down the road is Kansas' first licensed winery. The winery cordially invites visitors and groups of all sizes to spend time sampling their selection of fine wines. Also at the winery is a gift shop featuring Kansas hand-crafted gifts, candies, jellies, meats, cheeses, Kansas gift baskets and T-shirts.
Whatever the season, a stroll through our town is an opportunity to while away the day shopping, browsing, and perhaps discovering a unique treasure among the extraordinary.
