Established in 1824, Fort Gibson is the first military post in Oklahoma Territory.

Fort Gibson Historic Site - 1824 stockade with 7th Calvalry displays, log fort replica, walking trail - open Monday-Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 1-5. Admission is $3 for adults, $2.50 for seniors, and $2 for children, children under 5 are Free. Located 1 mile North on SH-80. (918) 478-4088

Fort Gibson National Cemetery - Graves of veterans from every war since 1812 - open Monday-Sunday. Admission is Free. Located 1 mile East on US-62. (918) 478-2334
