Hudson Lake

Lake Hudson is one of only two lakes in Oklahoma where a resident can own lakefront property on the water's edge, is second in a chain of three lakes along the Grand River, has 200 miles of panoramic shoreline and has about 12,000 acres of water for the pleasure of recreational enthusiasts. Many various water sports are available and with the construction of Markham Ferry Dam in 1964, fishing became every fisherman's dream. Lake Hudson is known as "the best bass lake in Oklahoma" and sports several bass tournaments each year.

Lake Hudson, named after the late Wash Hudson, a former Tulsa attorney, is in a natural river valley just south of Grand Lake, with hidden coves and majestic bluffs. In the heart of the Cherokee Nation, Salina lies immediately on the shores of Lake Hudson and is a short drive from Tulsa (approximately 50 miles) and even closer to the capital of the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah (approximately 33 miles).
