Wann, Oklahoma

Wann, in far northwest Nowata County, started as a trading post a half mile southeast of the present townsite. When the Missouri - Kansas - Texas Railroad laid its line from Parsons, Kansas to Oklahoma City, the railroad moved the town.

Wann, too, had its oil boom, swelling to a population of some 1,200 people at one time.
