This city-wide event features decorated and lighted floats sponsored by families, merchants, schools, law enforcement, emergency services and government. The parade ends in a downtown celebration with merchant discounts, free movies, band music and lots of other entertainment. 6-7pm.

The Republican River is beautiful in the summer for canoeing or tubing. A run can be from Oxford to Orleans, or below Harlan County Dam to Bloomington. There are places along the river to set up an overnight campsite, or just enjoy an afternoon of fun on a lazy summer day.
