12 - 13 Beloit Invitational Wrestling Tournament - The Beloit Invitational Wrestling Tournament is held in mid-January at the high school each year. This tournament has been held for 30 consecutive years and draws 16 to 18 outstanding teams from around the State of Kansas. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious tournaments in the area and the state as well.

19 Beloit Relays - The Beloit High School has been hosting the Beloit Relays since 1941. With as many as 52 schools attending in the 1960's to the 28-35 schools that have attended recently, this is the largest one-day track meet in the State of Kansas. Outstanding competition in large school and small school divisions can always be expected. Many of the athletes who compete in the Beloit Relays go on to be state champions or compete very well at the state level.

25 Homecoming Parade-Memorial Weekend - Memorial Weekend is a time to honor our fallen veterans. Also during this time, it is a chance to reunite with school classmates.

Homecoming Weekend takes place on Saturday of Memorial Weekend with a parade, picnic in the park, cruz'n mill street, class reunions and much more. The 50th year classes from Beloit High School and St. John's High School are recognized before the parade in Downtown Beloit. It is a great time to stroll down memory lane.

The Parade will organize at South & Mill in the Down Under parking lot. The parade will run North on Mill St.

1 Kansas 8-Man All Star Football Game - In 1985, the 8-Man Coaches Association created the Kansas 8-Man All Star Football Game. The following year, area students participated in the first game at Trojan Stadium in Beloit, Kansas. Players are selected by the 8-Man Coaches Committee each December. There was a request for two divisions, so one game is being played in the morning and another division play in the afternoon.

A successful annual event, the game relies on the support of the community as well as resources from the North Central Kansas Technical College, Beloit Jr. Sr. High School, and the Knights of Columbus.

The event attracts many people from surrounding regions, nourishing area businesses. 10am-5pm.

7 Annual St. John's Harvest Festival - Bingo, dance, food, children's games, rides, farmer's market, and carnival games. 6:00 PM - 12:00 Midnight.

12 Beloit Holiday Fair - The Beloit Holiday Fair, formerly the Delphian Arts and Crafts show has been a long standing tradition in Beloit. The Delphian Club passed on the reigns of this popular show to the Cassiopeia Club in 2009. We are a group of young women in the community with an eye on philanthropy to make the community of Beloit thrive with opportunity. Our last fair was a huge success for both Vendors and Shoppers. Please join our fair again as we carry-on the tradition of arts and crafts while adding new energy and excitement to keep with the times. -We are open to artists and craftsmen presenting original or handmade work. Home-based party plans are also invited, but no commercial businesses.

20 - 27 Chautauqua Isle of Lights - Christmas in Beloit took on a new dimension in 1999 when the Isle of Lights was established in Chautauqua Park. The Isle of Lights Committee took advantage of the horseshoe-shaped park. With the roadway circling the park and lined with small white lights, vehicle occupants are able to view the Spirit of Christmas lighted displays. Categories for the seventy-plus displays range from Religious to Winter Wonderland, Patriotism, and Toyland. Huge Christmas cards are the work of students, 4-H Clubs, and Scouts. Some of the displays are humorous while others are thought-provoking.

The spectacular displays are aglow every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., beginning Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving and continuing through New Year's Eve. Hosts are present nightly to regulate traffic and to hand out programs. There are no charges, but a donation box is available. Over 18,000 people view the displays during the holidays. They come from 168 Kansas towns, 40 states, and 11 foreign countries.

23 Sizzln' with Santa Chili Cook-Off - Join us for a fun morning of chili cooking, chili tasting, shopping and entertainment! The Chamber will be hosting a “Sizzln’ with Santa” Chili Cook-Off for ALL businesses in Beloit! 10am - 1pm.

Just how good is your Chili? Put your skills to the test and see what the public thinks! Public tasting will begin at 11am with the “Bragging Award” scheduled for 12:30pm. Santa will arrive at 12:30 so get your wish lists ready!
