Vermont Agriculture Museum Annual Meeting - Accomplishments of the past year will be reviewed and the plans for 2006 outlined.
Annual speaker will be Euclide Farnham of Tunbridge. He will speak about the Tunbridge Worlds Fair collection of antique farm equipment. Other topics include plans for fundraising in 2006 to make our dream a reality, funding for the building of the museum. All are encouraged to attend.

Vermont Jazz Ensemble - With musicians hailing from all corners of the Green Mountain State, the 17-member Vermont Jazz Ensemble performs music in the jazz and big band styles, and also plays rock, fusion, Latin and popular music selections. Its extensive library includes music by Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and others.

27 - 9 Cape Breton Day at Chandler - Immerse yourself in Cape Breton culture at Chandler Music Hall.
Beginning Cape Breton step-dancing with Mac Morin at 10 am, intermediate step-dance at 11:30 am, concert with fiddler Jerry Holland at 2 pm, evening concert with vibrant, multi-instrumental band Beolach at 7:30 pm.
Between the two concerts, enjoy a buffet meal and a Cape Breton style ceilidh hosted by Jerry Holland and Beth Telford.

Play - Peasant of El Salvador - Created and performed by Peter Gould and Stephen Stearns, and written in response to the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero in San Salvador on March 24, 1980, the play is a stirring story of how one farmer and his family struggle to maintain their way of life amidst the turbulent events in El Salvador during the 1970s and 80s.
Combining sensitivity with humor, the play is interspersed with mime and Latin American music.

Concert - French Impressions - Angela Jia Kim's performance at Chandler in 2004 brought a cheering audience to their feet. She returns with a performance that celebrates French music in collaboration with other art forms. The program features solo piano and exquisite combinations of music by Ravel, Faure, and Satie performed by Ms. Kim and celebrated dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied from the New York City Ballet. The program will also feature Vermont photographer Marjorie Ryerson's famed water photos.

Vermont Symphony Orchestra Summer Fest - Imagine That - from a Russian ballroom to sunset over the Grand Canyon, from Hogwarts to the far reaches of the galaxy, Anthony Princiotti and the VSO carry audiences on a journey of the imagination with Weber's Overture to Euryanthe, Holst's Jupiter from The Planets, John William's Harry Potter Symphonic Suite, and Anderson's Bugler's Holiday, among others.
Pre-concert picnicking. The concert concludes with celebratory fireworks accompaniment to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
