It's a Homecoming! Come join the faculty, students and staff from the College of Aviation as we celebrate homecoming the aviation way. Start the day off right with a hearty breakfast. Fly in or drive, we'll leave the decision up to you! Either way, make certain to be at the Battle Creek campus for a pancake-breakfast fly-in on Oct. 5. Pancakes will be flying around the hangar from 7 to 11 a.m. For the low cost of $5 per person, you'll get a great breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and a drink. The funds raised will be used to support our aviation student organizations: Aviation Student Council, the Multicultural Association of Aviation Professionals, Women in Aviation, the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association, Alpha Eta Rho, and the Sky Broncos. To purchase your breakfast tickets in advance, please contact Tom Thinnes at tom.thinnes@wmich.edu or 269-964-5768.

Immediately following the breakfast, we'll be moving over to Waldo Stadium on the main campus to watch our Broncos ride herd on the Idaho Vandals. To get ready for the game, the College of Aviation will be hosting a tailgate party. If you have flown in for the breakfast, do not worry! The College of Aviation shuttle bus will be transporting people between the two campuses. Traditional tailgating fare will be served; however, please bring your own beverage. For game-day tickets, please go to www.wmubroncos.com or call 1-888-4-WMU-TIX to place your order

  • Lake Pleasant, Arizona Fall Fishing

cobalt123 / Foter Arizona Fall Fishing —-Well, I have noticed that my favorite time of the year to go fishing at Lake Pleasant or for that matter any of the Arizona desert lakes is just now starting to show itself.  The nights are getting cooler which in turn cools the lakes off and starts a

  • Kansas Pheasant Hunting – Down but not out

HVargas / Foter It’s no secret to those who hunt pheasant and other upland birds that the successive years of drought in the central part of the United States has hurt bird populations. The forecast for Pheasant Hunting in Kansas was not a “flag waver”.  But be advised that Kansas will still probably rank 3rd
