5 - 6 Louisiana Country Colorfest - Welcome to the annual Louisiana Country Colorfest on the Riverfront. Parade begins 10:00 AM Saturday. Talent Show, Car Show, Lip Sync Contest, Motorcycle Show, Baby Show Contest, Food, Crafts, Vendors, Kids Corner, entertainment for all ages. Come sit and watch the Mississippi River roll on by. Third full weekend in October.

15 Winter Wonderland - Lighted parade from the high school to Main Street. at 6:30 PM. The arrival of Santa Claus at Don Flansburg Park is one of the highlights. Luminaries will line Georgia Street in downtown Louisiana and church bells will ring prior to the start of the parade. Other highlights include the lighting of the city Christmas tree. Miss Snow Queen, Junior Miss Snow Queen, Miss Snowflake and Mr. Frosty contests will be held. Horse and wagon will be available for rides.

24 Church Walk - The Louisiana Area Historical Museum hosts the annual Christmas Mid-town Church Walk starting at the Bethel A.M.E. Church. After a 15 minute program at each Church, all "Walk" attendees walk as a group to the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, First Baptist Church, Centenary United Methodist Church, Calvary Episcopal Church, and First Presbyterian Church. After the 15 minute program at the Presbyterian Church, cookies and warm cider is served by the Louisiana Area Historical Museum Board of Directors.

The Church Walk is free, with a one-time passing of a plate for a free-will offering for the Museum. Louisiana Area Historical Museum handles the "Christmas Walking Tour of Louisiana's Mid-town Churches", lovingly referred to as "The Church Walk."

A sculpture park featuring international and acclaimed American sculptors is located outside Louisiana. The project was started by Henry Lay, alumni of Saint Louis University, who wished to use his estate as a place to promote the arts in Northeast Missouri.
