"Annie" is based on the popular cartoon strip about a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who left her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, Miss Hannigan. In adventure after adventure, Annie becomes friends with President Franklin D. Roosevelt and finds a new family and home with billionaire Oliver (Daddy) Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
