Aquilla Lake Hunting

Aquilla lake will now be included in Whitney's hunting program. Aquilla's 4000 acre hunt program was managed in the past by Texas Parks & Wildlife but has now recently changed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Under the TPWD, the hunt area at Aquilla was all Type 2 hunting but now under the Corps of Engineers will be archery only for deer. Aquilla's hunt program will mirror Whitney's hunting policies. All potential hunters for Whitney and Aquilla will need to register for a permit at the Whitney Lake Office located at the west end of the dam on State HWY 22 in Laguna Park, Mon thru Fri from 8:00 a.m. till 4:30 p.m
