Children’s Museum and Science Center at the Imperial Centre

Part of the City of Rocky Mount’s Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences (one of North Carolina’s most complex historic renovation projects) the Rocky Mount Children’s Museum and Science Center is home to the state’s only digital planetarium plus exotic live animals, hands-on exhibits and displays, public and school programs, workshops and camps, birthday parties and much, much more. Programs and exhibits offered by the museum encompass all areas of science and technology, from archaeology to zoology and epitomize the museum’s mission to “raise the awareness of those we serve to their global connection and unique place in space by encouraging their participation in science, mathematics and technology”.
