Established in 1842, this is one of the last two military state colleges in the United States. The Citadel Museum offers a history of the Military College of SC and Corps of Cadets from 1842 to present day, with military artifacts and equipment. A colorful dress parade is held almost each Friday at 3:45pm during the school year. Open: M-F 8am-6pm; Museum Sa noon-5pm; Su-F 2-5pm. Closed: All federal & state holidays. Admission is free.
