22 - 23 Annual Nebraska MCC Craft and Quilt Auction - In addition to the craft and quilt auction, Friday night is the soup supper, Saturday morning is the pancake feed and Sunday is the traditional ethnic Mennonite meal.

13 - 16 A'ror'n Days - A'ROR'N DAYS is Aurora's own annual celebration held every year during the 3rd weekend of June. Events include family night, Saturday's noon parade, airport activities, street dances, food fair, softball, horseshoe, golf tournaments, classic car show and alumni activities.

4 4th of July Celebration - Every year when the darkness replaces the light, Hamilton County celebrates Independence Day with a fireworks display that gets bigger and better every year. The celebration is held every 4th of July in front of the grandstands at the Hamilton County Fair Grounds in Aurora at approximately 10:00pm. Prior to the fireworks, games and refreshments such as popcorn, root beer floats are available. There will also be A Demo Derby.

27 - 29 Sidewalk Sales - Take advantage of summer markdowns as Aurora's retailers offer their finest merchandise at discount prices. Kicked off with entertainment and a free corn roast in downtown Courthouse Square.

11 - 14 Hamilton County Fair - The Hamilton County Fair is the longest continuous running fair in the state with vendors, exhibitors and the traditional midway.

17 - 18 FAMFest - FAMFest is a two-day arts and music festival. Held annually in September, the Festival programming includes an outdoor performance stage, artist displays, artist demonstrations and children's activities.

The location is the beautiful Central Park Square in downtown Aurora, Nebraska. The mission of FAMFest is to promote and provide an affordable, quality arts & music event for all ages and to showcase Aurora area attractions.

3 Scare the Square - Scare the Square is sponsored by the Aurora Area Chamber and Development Office, and is becoming a major autumn event for the beautiful and historic downtown square. Hundreds of pumpkins, sponsored by local businesses and carved by local children, surround the entire sidewalk curb around the square. Children in costume parade around the square and then go trick or treating at local businesses.
