- Every year when the darkness replaces the light, Hamilton County celebrates Independence Day with a fireworks display that gets bigger and better every year. The celebration is held every 4th of July in front of the grandstands at the Hamilton County Fair Grounds in Aurora at approximately 10:00pm. - Scare the Square is sponsored by the Aurora Area Chamber and Development Office, and is becoming a major autumn event for the beautiful and historic downtown square.
