13 Wooden Boat Show - The first weekend of May brings classic wooden boats to the Beaufort waterfront to show off and to race. Events are scheduled at the NC Maritime Museum, the Museum Watercraft Center and on the downtown waterfront in Beaufort. Exhibits are in place 9 am-4 pm. Sail and rowing races are scheduled.

Four shows occur throughout the year during holidays: Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day and Thanksgiving which is a Christmas exhibition that shows for three weeks. 7 - 8 Beaufort Old Homes and Gardens Tour - The 48th annual walking tour of private historic homes, gardens, churches and meeting halls is the 4th weekend of June, 2008. Private homes, Beaufort Historic Site buildings Beaufort Fisheries, Old Burying Ground, narrated bus tour through the historic district are highlights.

4 4th of July Parade & Community Picnic - An old-fashioned tradition continues in historic Beaufort on July 4 with a parade on the downtown waterfront that includes kids, pets, wagons, & red hats. Parade begins at 11AM at the fire department, proceeds through downtown along the waterfront.

29 Historic Beaufort Road Race - More than 700 runners compete annually in numerous categories during this road race by the sea. Early morning starts on downtown Front Street. Race is always the 3rd Saturday of July and is organized by the Beaufort Ole Towne Rotary.
