Center of the Nation All Car Rally
- It's time to rev up those engines and polish that chrome! The Annual Center of the Nation All Car Rally kicks off at 6:30pm on Friday night with a pre-registration show & shine event and street dance at Scott Peterson Motors. The event viewing is open to the public. All spectators and participants will be able to vote for a People's Choice award presented later in the evening. At 8:00 p.m., there will be a burnout demonstration and throughout the evening, there will be live music with local band, Twenty-One 20. On Saturday, the action moves to Hermann Park where the daylong car show will take place. Organizers said they are expecting well over 150 entries in the show this year and there will be a wide variety of vehicles to view. "We will have a little bit of everything," said Dan Durfee, one of the car show's committee volunteers. "There will be vintage and muscle cars, street rods, low riders, sports cars, current model year cars and plenty of modified trucks and off-road vehicles. It's always a lot of fun to see the variety." In addition to the vehicles, viewers will be able to stop by the vendor booths, which will feature everything from food vendors to automotive parts to outdoor living displays. Organizers expect anywhere from 10 to 15 vendors at this year's show. Car enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy the weekend of entertainment and plenty of polished chrome. Annual Black Hills Roundup Rodeo
- The Black Hills Roundup attracts thousands of spectators each year, as well as rodeo participants from around the country. Contestants include national champions riding some of the best livestock in the country. Miss Rodeo and Miss Junior South Dakota are crowned at the July 4 rodeo. Mainly Marathons - Center of the Nation Series
- Mainly Marathons offers nine, multi day-multi state series throughout the continental United States, and a four day series in Kauai, Hawaii. The current series run from 5 days to 7 days. Participants can run one, or as many days as they desire. From 5K to 50K, there is a distance offered for everyone. The run in Belle Fourche is Day 3 of the Center of the Nation Series, starting at 6:30AM MDT at a new location 9 miles outside the town of Belle Fourche. Packet pickup: Race day registration and packet pickup are available beginning one hour before race time at the start location.
