2 NOC/Subaru Bartram Trail Endurance Run - Considered by many to be one of the most challenging runs in Western North Carolina, this 21 mile event starts at the Nantahala put-in and ends at the top of Wayah Bald, at an elevation of 3,000 feet. Recent additions to the race include the Piercy Creek Run loop which is approximately 8 miles. A post race meal is included at Rivers End Restaurant.

22 - 24 Spring Splash - Jump start the paddling season with NOC! This festival highlights the activities offered throughout the year including the Spring Club Cup Challenge for the paddling clubs, mountain biking, instructor supervised rolling pool, observed bike trials, family adventure race, and more. 3 - 4 Heritage Festival - This two day festival has it all! Friday night entertainment is loaded with local talent featuring an emphasis on old ? time gospel. Saturday entertainment is as varied as the region - a highlands pipe and drum corps, classic country and bluegrass, or high energy newgrass. In addition to music, the festival offers local arts and crafts, food, games for the kids, and fun for the whole family.

4 Fourth of July Freedom Fest - An old-fashioned mountain street festival at its best! A wide range of activities that include a 5K footrace, pet show, kids area, "tater" cook-off, arts and crafts, and two stages of entertainment.
