4 - 6 Annual Everybody Softball Tournament, July 4 Celebration in the Park - Starting early and continuing until after dark, the Celebration in the Park provides entertainment throughout the day for everyone’s enjoyment. A carnival, a whole range of activities for children, as well as the annual open-entry softball tournament on Saturday, are just some of the events that take place. Combine these with a little musical accompaniment and a free Hamburger and Hot Dog feed, and you have the ingredients for a truly memorable day!

The grand finale to the Celebration in the Park is a wondrous Fireworks display that has people of all ages watching in awe.

The Lions Club Junior Rodeo is held in conjunction with the Harper County Free Fair. This premier event of the rodeo season has drawn together youths up to 18 years old for over 30 years. Each age group winner receives a custom sadddle and runners-up receive hand-crafted spurs.

8 - 10 Harper County Fair - Bring the family out to the annual Harper County Fair in Buffalo for a fun-filled day. Come out to enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits highlighting local agriculture, crafts and homemade items. Stick around for the fair's popular horse show to admire these beautiful animals. Livestock exhibits will include hogs, goats, sheep and cattle. Inflatables will be available for the kids and plenty of food will ensure that all visitors to the Harper County Fair walk away satisfied.

27 - 28 Annual B.H.S. Alumni and Buffalo Homecoming - Come one, come all! This has been an annual event since wagon days and the town absolutely s w e l l s with excitement and activity.

The Homecoming Celebration usually takes place throughout the last weekend of September, or the first weekend of October. The event is a chance for Alumni of Buffalo Public Schools to return to Buffalo, reacquaint themselves with old friends and see some of the town’s familiar sites. This warm and friendly Homecoming Celebration is so popular that even people who haven’t lived here or gone to school here come to enjoy the time with us!

Festivities begin on Friday with the Hospitality House at the Alumni Building on Buffalo’s main street (Hoy); and an open house at the Buffalo Museum. In the evening a Chili and Stew Supper is sponsored by the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce and followed by the Homecoming Royalty presentation and the all important Homecoming Football Game. Schedule of events may be picked up at the Hospitality House on Friday.

2 Crafter's Christmas Mall - Held annually on the first or second Saturday of November, the Crafter's Christmas Mall provides the perfect start to the festive period. Situated in the Harper County Fairgrounds, the Crafter's Christmas Mall gives arts & craft vendors the opportunity to display their various wares. Indeed, so popular has the event become that vendors often travel from neighboring states to participate!

Moreover, the occasion is as much a social gathering as it is a vendor's mall. Not only does everyone come together for the chance to partake in some early Christmas shopping, but also to enjoy the wonderful, social atmosphere created by this tremendous occasion.
