For over a decade, Don Byron has been a singular voice in a dizzying range of musical contexts, striving for what he calls “a sound above genre.” Byron’s rousing new group is dedicated to the music of soul legend, saxophonist and singer, Junior Walker. The band will feature Byron on tenor saxophone and clarinet, Dean Bowman on vocals, David Gilmore on guitar, George Colligan on keyboard, Brad Jones on bass and Rodney Holmes on drums.
