Event Details

Join us for reenactments of the 1861 MO Bushwhacker Raid, burning of Humboldt & Pvt. Driscoll's court martial & execution. Civil War units encampment, drill & field amputation. Civilian spinning/loom. Civil War historians to answer questions. Special guests include John Brown & Abraham Lincoln. Children's activities include games w/ Polecat Annie; the amazing Prof. Farquar & hands-on Underground Railroad exhibit. ALL DAY: Food vendors, goat soap, carriage rides, sutlery & more! Bring lawn chair!

This monument bears a marble collage of 12 Civil War sites in Humboldt depicting events during the Oct. 1861 Burning of Humboldt by Confederate troops and revealing possible hiding places of fugitive slaves found in Humboldt during the Sept. 1861

Riverside School

Confederate Soldier Marker
