They have been called "the greatest generation."  They fought all over the world - in Europe, the Pacific, North Africa and the Far East - to rid the world of dictators. They are the veterans of World War II and they will be honored at the annual Ed Arn Veteran's Roundtable at the Wayne County Historical Society. The Historical Society decided that now is the perfect time to honor the WWII generation and remember their dedication and bravery.  The VA projects that over 1,135 WWII veterans are passing away each day. I think it's timely to pay tribute to them.

Held each year around Memorial Day, the Ed Arn Veteran's Roundtable features a group of military historians and veterans of the the era being honored to discuss their personal experiences during the war.

Mishler Weaving Mill

The Mishler Weaving Mill is a textile weaving mill using original looms, the oldest of which dates from 1895. One rug loom is an 1860 rocker beater barn beam loom. The Mill is owned and operated by member-volunteers of the Smithville Community Historical Society. Items woven include:
