6 Mud Mountain 5k Classic - Mud Mountain is the annual 5K Fundraising event for the Edwardsville Cross Country and Track & Field Booster Club. All proceeds from the race help fund programs at Liberty and Lincoln Middle Schools and the Edwardsville High School.

The 3.1 mile course is locted on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at the intersection of University Drive and New Poag Road. It is an NCAA course, best described as "fun and challenging." There are some rolling hills, including "Mud Mountain" in mile 3. The course can become muddy if there is rain before or during the race.

Runners are encouraged to register online through active.com
