14 Eldon's Rockin' BBQ Contest - Join the Friday night fun! There will be a People's Choice Chicken Wing Tasting Competition sponsored by Naught-Naught Insurance. Beer Garden, and Food and Beverage vendors will also be available. The Nace Brothers Band will be performing at 7:30 p.m. next to the beer garden. BBQ Teams wishing to compete on Saturday, may call 392-3752 for an application. 1:00 p.m.-11:00p.m.

4 Independence Day Celebration - 5K-Walk-Run (Aquatic Park) Registration 7:00a.m., Walk-Run 7:30 a.m., Aquatic Center open from 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m. admission $1.00. Parade at 10:00 a.m. downtown Eldon. To register call 392-3752. Fireworks at Eldon Air Park at dark. Sponsored by the City of Eldon.
