A living memorial garden to the English colonists who came to America in 1584-1587. Designed by the renowned firm of Innocenti and Webel, it contains elements of 16th-century statuary, indigenous plants and herbs. The Elizabethan Gardens is one of many sites on the Historic Albemarle Tour (www.historicalbemarle.org)
