Convention Centers Enid has plenty of facilities for community and family events.

Cherokee Strip Conference Center is one of Oklahoma's premier meeting facilities. A sense of history combined with modern vision is perhaps most evident in the architecture, where the facades of historic commercial buildings were carefully preserved and integrated with new construction to create an exceptional conference and meeting facility. The 11,000 square foot Pioneer Exhibit Hall divides into three independent exhibit areas and eight meeting rooms.

Convention Hall is a massive structure that stills retains its usefulness as the home venue for Enid High basketball and wrestling. The seating capacity is 2,400 for concerts and 1,700 for athletic events. in 1993, the arena portion of the building was named after Mark Price, an Enid High basketball star, Georgia Tech all-American and NBA all-star. 580-234-1919

The 160 acre Chisholm Trail Expo Center at the Garfield County Fairgrounds includes the Chisholm Trail Pavilion, a 5,000-seat speedway, livestock buildings, outdoor arena, the Hoover Multipurpose Building, Youth Building, and the Coliseum. 580-237-0238.

Railroad Museum of Oklahoma

If you are fascinated by trains, you will like the Railroad Museum of Oklahoma. Within the museum compound, there are six cabooses from railroads that have served Enid (Union Pacific, BNSF, Grain Belt), a baggage car, motor cars, a three-dome tank car, and a 50-ton engine.

The Garfield County Court House built in 1934, is more than a government center for records and civic business. Walk around the beautifully landscaped square and see the sculpture of the Tri-State Music Festival by artist, Tasso Pitsiri, and the Boy Scout Statue of Liberty presented in 1950.
