1 - 2 4th of July Fireworks Display - A fireworks display will be held at dusk at Lake Wabaunsee on July3. July 4th, there will be games and face painting after the turtle races and a picnic and 12:00 PM with meat and drinks provided. Bring a side dish, table service and lawn chairs.

31 - 1 Eskridge Labor Day Rodeo - Rodeos, Garage Sales, Stick Horse Parade and Pancake Feed! Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. Two night performances at 7:00 PM each evening. We hope you will be able to join us for the rodeo. This year instead of a Kids Calf Scramble we will be doing a stick horse race. Be sure to bring your fastest stick horse for this years rodeo.

21 - 22 Stone Fence Restoration Workshop - The Native Stone Scenic Byway Committee is continuing tradition with the Stone Fence Restoration Workshop! The Native Stone Scenic Byway runs through Wabaunsee County, connecting Dover, Eskridge, Lake Wabaunsee and Alma.

Rocky Slaymaker, a professionally trained dry stone conservancy mason will again be the lead teacher. The dry stone fence renovation workshop is held in both the Spring and Summer each year. The workshop will give Kansans the opportunity to learn how their forefathers built these sturdy fences. The historic stone fences, which were authorized by the Kansas legislature in 1867, are highlights of the Kansas Native Stone Scenic Byway, sponsor of the hands-on workshop.

Participants will learn the nine essential elements for successful stone fence building and repair. It involves actual stone fence repair.

9 Veteran's Day Parade and Activities - Parade and Activities to honor those who have bravely served our country! 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM. Famous for their patriotism on Veteran's Day- Eskridge knows how to honor their veteran's through a special event!

9:00 am: A complimenary breakfast of sweet rolls, juice and coffee will be served by the Golden Living Center

9:30: Parade registration at Golden Living Center - (everyone is invited to be in the parade)

10:00 am: Flag Raising at Golden Living Center

Parade through town to the Eskridge City Park

At the City Park: Formal Flag Raising Ceremony, music & prayer

Awards: for Veterans and Children's contest winners

1st Sustainment Brigade (out of Ft. Riley) will judge the essay contest

US Navy Jr. ROTC (Shawnee Heights) will judge the coloring contest

US Air Force Jr. ROTC (Highland Park) will judge the drawing contest

Guest Speakers and Ceremonial Flag Retirement (if you have an old flag please bring them)

Complementary lunch will be served following the ceremonies in the Eskride PRIDE Community Center
