Event Details

Bringing back the holidays of yesteryear, the Old Mill Museum presents an Old Fashioned Christmas. Enjoy a shepherd sharing the traditional Christmas story in the stable, a guided tour of the historic Smoky Valley Roller Mills, Santa Claus, children's crafts and cookie decorating. Ring in the holiday season with this memorable family event! Follow the glowing lanterns from activity to activity in the historic buildings.

Coronado Heights

Coronado Heights is a twenty-six acre virgin prairie park overlooking the Smoky Valley. The first buildings of Lindsborg were at the foot of this hill. Legend says it was also a lookout for Coronado's party on their 1541 journey into Kansas. This is one of the two highest lookout points in Kansas.

Höglund Dugout

Arriving in the fall of 1868, Gustaf Hoglund proceeded to dig a dugout to serve as some protection. The dugout served as the family home until 1874. The Smoky Valley Historical Association maintains the Hoglund Dugout, now a historical site marking an example of an early Scandinavian home.
