The Ambassador Classic is a gathering of Midwest area college basketball teams, from Kansas, Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. They test their skills at the tip-off of the basketball season at this annual tournament. The Ambassador Classic is hosted by the Colby Ambassadors and is held at the Community Building.

The Colby Community College is a huge asset to our community. The Cultural Arts Center is a hub for cultural presentations and art exhibits. Changing exhibits are also featured at the Prairie Museum of Art & History.

Colby, KS Pioneer HistoryVilla High Park is truly the "Oasis on the Plains". This park, consisting of 40 acres, was created in the late 1960`s with the aid of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.

The Eller House, displaying typical furniture, clothing, and objects, tells of farm life in the 1930s. The house was built in 1906 in Colby, was moved to a farm south of town in 1917 and was moved to the museum site in 1981.
