The Great Outdoors Expo, sponsored by the Morganton Parks and Recreation Department, will showcase a multitude of products and services for lawn and garden care, including landscape and design, outdoor recreation, deck and patio, pools, lawn furniture, and garden equipment.

Catawba River Greenway
Maintained by the City of Morganton, the greenway is currently a 3 mile paved walkway that provides picnic areas, playground, canoe launch, fishiing pier, overlooks and access to shopping and restaurants.

Sam J. Ervin, Jr., Library and Museum
An exact replica of the late senator's home library, it contains hundreds of books and treasures, many from his days as chairman of the Senate Watergate Hearings in the '70s. Located on the campus of Western Piedmont Community College. Open Mon-Fri, 8 am-5 pm.
