Bugle Days at Bonnie Brae Farms

Come out on a crisp fall day and hear the awesome and unique sound of bull elk bugling against the vibrant backdrop of fall foliage. (This mating call of male elk, used to assert dominance and gather his herd, can only be heard in the fall and nowhere in the wild in Ohio.) Wagon rides will take you out to our biggest bulls, who have recently shed their velvet and are now in hard antler. (A charge is required for the wagon ride.)

After witnessing the magnificance of these animals, enjoy hot cider and doughnuts in our century old barn, free of charge. Also available from our venison shop, which provides elk venison a low fat – low cholestoral red meat, a wide range of cuts of meat from steaks to roasts to ground meat to summer sausage. All of our venison is state inspected, packaged and frozen for your convience, enjoy a free sample.
