17 - 26 Doug Leko Quilt Talk and Trunk Show - Doug Leko, an 18 year old quilt designer from Blaine, Minn. will share his quilting enthusiasum, original designs, and youthful approach, on June 8, 2012 at 7:00 at the Senior Citizen Center at the corner of So. Court & Adams, in Fairfield, Iowa. Doug has been quilting since the age of 4, published his first quilting book in 2010, and has a new fresh line of quilting patterns just out. 10 Annual, A Cure For Addison 5k Run/Walk - RUNNING FOR A CURE 5K Fun Run & Walk
Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run
(Vendor event and kids’ activities will follow the race)

Addison Tarrence was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy on January 5, 2010. Currently there is no cure for SMA. All proceeds from the fun run & walk go to A Cure for Addison Fund. This fund helps her family provide much needed services and equipment that are not covered by insurance or Medicaid. 8:00am is Registration; 8:30 kid's run-5K to follow

FEE: 5k run/walk-$20.00 Pre-Registration Fee; $10.00 per additional family member
$25.00 After Registration Deadline (August 10).
Kids 1 Mile Fun Run: Free Will Donation

20 - 21 Quilt Show in Fairfield, Iowa - Approximately 200 quilts by local quilters. This is always one of the best quilt shows in Iowa. We have several very accomplished quilters in our Quilt Club, i.e. Best of Show Iowa State Fair winner of 2009, many, many State Fair ribbon winners, published quilters, and much much more!

Quilt Show starts at Noon and runs to 9 P.M. that evening (Fri) and then opens again at 10 A.M. on Saturday and goes to 5 P.M.

Come to Southeast Iowa & see our quilts! You'll love that you did!
