5 - 9 Nebraska Chautauqua - The Nebraska Humanities Council, along with the Richardson County Arts and Humanities Council, and the Lodging Tax Committee, welcome four historical scholars to the town of Falls City for the Nebraska Chautauqua. This year's theme is "Bright Dreams, Hard Times: America in the 30's." Each evening, under a huge "revival-style" tent, a scholar will role-play an historical figure from the Dust Bowl era. The location is the Stanton lake area at 26th and Hiland Streets on the northwest edge of Falls City.

Veteran's Memorial Monument

The Veteran's Memorial Monument is located on the southeast side of the courthouse lawn, and is a tribute to Richardson County men who were killed in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War.

Stanton Lake Park is a beautiful lake site for picnics, day activities, or camping.

Richardson County Courthouse

The Richardson County Courthouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was completed in 1925 to replace a wooden courthouse which was destroyed by fire. The then county commissioners commissioned architect W.F. Gernandt to build a fire proof structure for $200,000
