11 Bill Northey - Iowa Secretary of Ag Visit - Thursday, July 28, 2011–The Chickasaw Corn Growers will sponsor a meet and greet where Bill Northey, Iowa Secretary of Ag will be the featured speaker. The event will be held at the shop of Terry and Teri Denner, 3005 250th St, Fredericksburg (2 Miles N of Hwy 18 on V56, take a left on 250th St, 1st place on the right) The evening will begin at 5:30 with a social hour, a meal at 7:00, followed by the featured speakers.

The event is free and intended for all those who have interest in agriculture. You need not belong to the Corn Growers Association to attend. It will be an opportunity for open discussion about current events in agriculture today.

27 - 28 Northeast Iowa Antique Engine & Power Show - Featuring Minneapolis Moline Tractors. Out door Activities, include ensilage cutting, sawmill, threshing oats, steam engines, special event; 5 threshers running at once, starting at 11:30 am. Straw baling, dynamometer, gas engines and much more. Antique Tractor pull, Saturday evening, chainsaw carvings, butter churning, Blue Grass Bands both Saturday and Sunday. Food and vendors. Kiddie Tractor Pull on Sunday. Something for everyone.
