10 - 11 Sahuaro Ranch Tractor Show - A variety of gas engines and tractors from years gone by will be showcased and perform
at the annual Winter Antique Tractor & Engine Show Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area.

The show includes engine displays and demonstrations, tractor pulls, crafters, a blacksmith exhibition, children’s activities, Sahuaro Ranch historic home tours, hayrides and a pedal tractor raffle. A plowing demonstration will be held on Saturday and
a tractor parade will be held at 1 p.m. on both days. Attendees may also participate in a silent auction and peruse antique cars on display.
This event is presented by the Arizona Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association.

18 Family Farm Day - FARM FUN FOR EVERYONE! Tolmachoff Farms is a unique four-generation family farm still operating in the middle of the city. Our local family-run farm is inviting the community out to visit. So come on over and enjoy a day in the "life of a farmer."

Our annual Family Farm Day is a great time to experience the ultimate farm adventure with something to do for the whole family. There will be fun activities including: u-pick garden, train rides, needle in the haystack, picture on a pony, child/adult pedal cart racetrack, tomato cannon, crafts, and child/adult hop-a-long bounce horses. Be sure to participate in one or all of these entertaining contests: corn husking, watermelon eating or seed spitting contest.

Food vendor selling hot dogs, nachos, kettle corn, and more will be available.

Purchase your choice of farm fresh picked fruits and vegetables including watermelon, squash, tomatoes and more at our produce stand.

22 - 23AZ0608017e009 - Glendale Glendale Glitters Spectacular - It now takes two days of festivities to electrify the nearly one million multi-colored lights of Arizona's "must see" holiday light display. Experience a unique, traditional, hometown celebration in Arizona's Antique Capital as you enjoy multiple stages of music and dance, food, seasonal merchandise, a children's wonderland, horse-drawn carriage rides, shopping and visits with Santa. Event hours are 5-10 p.m. both nights with lights coming on at 6 p.m. Vendors will also be open during the Murphy Park Saturday Market FROM 10-4 on Saturday. Traditional lighting ceremony with a pyrotechnic display will be held on Friday only.

22AZ0608017e028 - Glendale West Valley Rose Society - All that Glitters is Roses - Rose show and ART and Craft fair- There will be hundreds of rose entries, with one to multiple rose stems, and over 40 arrangements. We will be giving 15 minute rose show tours, at 1pm , 2pm , and 3pm. Explaining, how a rose receives a blue ribbon or trophy, and why some get to the trophy table.

We will have over 20 talented Art vendors selling there rosie wares, everything from carvings, stained glass, etched glass, jewelry, clothing, paintings, soap etc.

This is the opening weekend of Glendale Glitters. Come enjoy the fun, there will be shuttles available to the public to the park. Access to the civic center is available only through 57th Avenue.

Arizona's Best Hometown holiday tradition shines brightly from 5-10 p.m. Nine special nights of festival activities combined with forty-two quiet nights under the lights add to the charm of Arizona's Antique Capital.

On the final night, dozens of hot air balloons will cast a warm glow over Historic Downtown Glendale as the city says farewell to its annual holiday light display with its equally spectacular closing ceremony, Glendale Glitter & Glow, presented by APS, on Saturday, from 5-10 p.m.

More than 70,000 people are expected to attend the free event, which will showcase three-dozen colorful hot air balloons, live bands and street performers under the twinkling canopy of Glendale Glitters holiday light display.

Visitors will be able to walk the streets and actually touch the tethered balloons, which pilots will fire up to glow throughout the evening.
