Great Salt Plains Fishing

category : Fishing
Great Salt Plains Fishing The Great Salt Plains Lake is well known as a premier lake in northwest Oklahoma for excellent channel cat fishing. The Byron State Fish Hatchery regularly stocks the lake with blue catfish, hybrid striped bass, and hybrid saugeye. Fishing is allowed year round in the dam area and a portion of the lake east of a north-south extension of State Highway 38. An annual saugeye fishing derby is held in late winter.
