5 - 7 1800s Mountain Man Rendezvous - Arkansas was the edge of the American frontier in the early 1800s. Witness the rugged life of explorers and trappers at this time as reenactors dress in traditional period attire and camp in authentic lodges and tents. Demonstrations include crafts, games, and the survival skills needed during the era of the fur trappers. 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

20 Women's Afternoon Out! - Ladies, trade in your stilettos for a pair of hiking boots! Woolly Hollow State Park will be hosting a Women’s Afternoon Out! 27 Kids' Fishing Derby - Calling all kids ages 15 and younger, try your luck in Lake Bennett at our annual fishing derby! A drawing at the end of the derby will be held for some excellent prizes. Trophies will be awarded in three age groups for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, plus overall biggest and smallest fish. Bring your own bait and tackle. Parent’s help is welcome, but kids must do their own fishing. Bring lawn chairs and a picnic and plan to make a day of it! 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

31 Annual Fun Day - Bring your family and friends for a day of fun contests and recreational games. Sack races, pedal boat races, watermelon seed spitting contests, and a water balloon toss are a few of the fun events of the day. Free swimming and paddle boating. 2 - 4 Girls Adventure Day Camp - This camp will introduce girls ages 7 -11 to the wonders of the natural world. Through a variety of experiences including hiking, camping skills, kayaking, crafting, nature programming, and more, we will discover basic principles of biology, ecology, and conservation. The children will be carefully supervised by the park interpreter and trained volunteers. Spaces fill quickly so register early! Gear, materials, and some meals are included in fee. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Volunteers from the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society have telescopes available for you to view the different celestial bodies and answer your questions.
