Harlan Lake Camping North Shore Marina Camping-- Our campground features 75 spaces with large lots, and many pull through spaces. Sewer hookup, water, and 50 amp electrical service is available on every site.

We do not allow tents or pop-ups. Fires must be in an above ground fireplace. Rates are $30 a night or $180 a week, with monthly and annual rates available. Reservations may be made with a credit card, paid in advance. There is a two night minimum, with three nights required on holiday weekends. Sorry, but no refunds.

There are Eight other parks around the lake that have been developed to provide a wide variety of recreation opportunities to area visitors. The Corps maintains six established campgrounds with services ranging from full electrical hookups and modern shower buildings to random tent campsites and privies. 19 "pull throughs" with a minimum length of 100 feet can accommodate longer trailers at Hunter Cove. Electrical hookups have been increased to 50 amps.

Advance reservations can be made at Methodist Cove and Hunter Cove campgrounds. There are 2 group camping sites at Methodist and the shelter houses at Gremlin Cove or Patterson Harbor (High Point) can also be reserved.

Primitive, tent, and RV camping are available in six different Corps of Engineers managed parks around the lake, as well as Patterson Harbor and Alma City Park. Camp pads with electrical hook-ups located in Methodist Cove and Hunter Cove parks are $14.00 per night, from May 1 to October 1. Non-electrical sites are $10.00 per night in these parks for the same time period. Gate Attendants are stationed at the entrance to Hunter Cove and Methodist Cove parks, and are on duty 6 days a week. These same camp pads may be used during the months of October, November, and April for a charge of $6.00 per night. This off-season charge reflects a reduced service level. The remaining campgrounds, Gremlin Cove, North Outlet, and South Outlet parks, which provide water, vault toilets, and trash dumpsters, are available for $6.00 per night. These fees are collected by roving park rangers and by use of a self-pay vault, with park rangers or volunteer park hosts being the primary source of contact in the parks.

Golden Age Passports and Golden Access cards will be honored in all the parks for camping and day use fees. These can be obtained from any Corps of Engineers office or fee booth by anyone meeting the pertaining criteria.

HUNTER COVE PARK:

Hunter Cove park is located on a hard surfaced road on the eastern end of the lake. There are 160 total sites, 84 are electrical. 19 of these have recently been made into "pull through" sites. Potable water, a dump station, and refuse containers are available at a central location near the entrance of the park. All sites are reservable through the National Recreation Reservation Service, camp sites which are not reserved can be rented on first come first served basis. A boat ramp is located at the west end of the park and may be used free of charge with the paid camping fee, or $2.00/day for non campers. Gate Attendants are stationed at the entrance to the park, and are on duty 6 days per week help you, our visitors. Whether it is to help with your camping needs or to answer questions.

Hunter Cove park offers two enclosed shower buildings, with flush toilets (one is heated). Laundry facilities are available. There are two playgrounds, one on each end of the park, as well as a volley ball court. This park offers two open picnic shelters for small groups or for picnicking during inclement weather.

The main road is hard surfaced, with others being gravel. A fish cleaning station, with grinder and running water is located near the entrance. A boat ramp is located at the west end of the park and may be used free of charge with the paid camping fee, or $2.00/day for non campers

METHODIST COVE PARK:

Methodist Cove park is located on a black top road near the west end of the lake, approximately 2 miles east of Alma, Nebraska. 155 campsites and two group areas are available. 49 campsites offer electrical hookups. One large heated shower with flush toilets is centrally located within the park and several vault toilets are located throughout the rest of the park. Potable water, a dump station, and refuse containers are located near the park entrance. Gate Attendants are stationed at the entrance to the park and are on duty 6 days per week to help you, our visitors. Whether it is to help with your camping needs or to answer questions.

Most sites are reservable through the National Recreation Reservation Service, camp sites which are not reserved can be rented on first come first served basis. A boat ramp is located at the west end of the park and may be used free of charge with the paid camping fee, or $2.00/day for non campers

SOUTH OUTLET PARK:

South Outlet park is on the south side of the Republican River below the dam. Refuse collection and two vault toilets are provided. Camping fees of $6.00 per night are collected using a self-pay station with park rangers patrolling the area as well. Access to Republican River and the Stilling Basin are available at this park.

NORTH OUTLET PARK:

North Outlet park is located on the north side of the Republican River below the dam. Water, refuse collection and 3 vault toilets are located within this park. Camping fees of $6.00 per night are collected using a self-pay station with park rangers patrolling the area as well. A 1 ½ mile nature trail is located at the east end of the park and winds through the riparian ecosystem typical of southern Nebraska river bottoms. Access to Republican River and the Stilling Basin are available at this park.

GREMLIN COVE PARK:

Gremlin Cove park is located near the North end of the Harlan County Dam. Camping fees of $6.00 per night are collected by roving park rangers. A swimming beach with change houses nearby, a reservable enclosed shelter with flush toilets, and a smaller open shelter are all located within the park.

Water and vault toilets are also available. A boat ramp is located at the west end of the park and may be used free of charge with the paid camping fee, or $2.00/day for non-campers.

PATTERSON HARBOR / CEDAR POINT PARK:

Patterson Harbor park is located near the South end of the Harlan County Dam. A swimming beach with change houses nearby and a reservable enclosed shelter with flush toilets are located within the park. Water and vault toilets are also available.
