|10||Square Fair - For almost 40 years Square Fair has been a mainstay tradition in Garnett. Held annually on the Saturday before Mother's Day, Square Fair is the "cool" place to bring mom and the entire family.
On May 12th enjoy a variety of crafters, business booths, food vendors and a little mix of farmer's market as the festival takes over downtown Garnett. Presented by Garnett Business and Professional Women, Square Fair was founded 40 years ago by the local chapter of American Association of University Women (AAUW). Square Fair has graced the grounds of the Anderson County Courthouse in the center of Garnett as one of the most famous events in the area and one of the largest festivals held in Garnett.
In conjunction with Square Fair, the Pieces and Patch Quilt Guild will have a special quilt exhibit to be held on the north side of the town square.
Partake of tours of the Walker Art Gallery, Harris House, Anderson County Historical Museum and Santa Fe Depot.

Golf tournament, Corn Idol karaoke contest (spoof of American Idol), Little Niblets Playland (children's activities, inflatable rides), fishing derby, agricultural and outdoor recreation exhibits, Lake Garnett Cruisers Auto & Motorcycle Show, antique tractor show and tractor rodeo, outhouse races, horseshoe pitching, gun club open house, class reunion station, crafts booths and FOOD, FOOD and more FOOD!
Concert on the Hill (4 bands) features movie/TV actor turned country musician John Corbett Band and country music trio Trick Pony. Free parking and no admission to park. Admission fee to attend Concert on the Hill.

|19||Lake Garnett Cruisers Car Classic - Each fall, the Lake Garnett Cruisers host their annual classics, hot rod, and customs show under the welcomed shade of the courthouse. The autumn leaves on surrounding trees add to the relaxing atmosphere.
Held in conjunction with the Anderson County Corn Festival, the Lake Garnett Cruisers invite 200 - 300 car buffs to show and shine, followed by a cruise around Lake Garnett. The show features over 20 special awards, along with an additional "Fabulous 50" honor plaques awarded. A poker walk allows car show participants to visit town square merchants, give-aways are presented throughout the day, and games are played between show participants and/or car clubs. Pre-entry to this event always includes a free T-shirt and dash plaque.
Following the car show there is a cruise around Lake Garnett. People of the community line the streets in lawn chairs awaiting the site of cruising cars along the route. A cruise night following the car show is held at the local Sonic Drive-In.
