Next Snow Search Qualifier - The Sports Illustrated For Kids Next snow Search is not just a competition. Style, attitude, and personality count as well as all-round skiing and riding ability. There is only one class of competition that includes everyone interested in participating, including adaptive athletes. The only requirement is that you are between the ages of 9 and 13. The Search is the first all-around, all-mountain, all-people competition to make the 2006 Sports Illustrated For Kids nextXsnow team.

Skier Only Night Rail Jam - The venue will be set up just off the deck at the base of Outerlimits. This event will be easily viewed from the deck. This is part of a four part skier rail jam series where the overall best male and female skiers will win a 2006-2007 Bronze All for One Season Pass.
Registration will run from 3-4 pm.

5 - 7 USSA REvolution Tour - A competition that brings together athletes across the east to identify the top juniors.
Halfpipe, slopestyle and snowboard cross athletes compete together in an open-class style event. Riders will be ranked overall and within their age classes. Top juniors will be named to US Snowboarding's Project Gold, a group of the top development athletes in the country who will train together in the summer and be invited to other select projects.

Suzuki Pipe Jam - A chance of winning a share of the $3,500 cash purse.
The event will also feature equipment prize giveaways, as well as promotional merchandise from Elan/Dolomite, Nitro Snowboards, and Suzuki Automotive.

Annual Tele Fling at Pico - Join Pico and Mountain Travelers Hike and Ski Shop for a day of telemark demos and $5 telemark lessons.
This event will bring together top telemark ski and boot manufacturers for a free demo.
The demos are open to anyone with a lift ticket for the day or a valid season pass. $5 lessons will range from first-timers to seasoned vets looking to get a few extra pointers. There's always more to learn on telemark skis.

9 - 11 Next Snow Search Finals - The culmination of a nationwide search for the best skiers and riders 9-13 years old.
More than 100 athletes will converge on Killington to compete in a plethora of on-snow activities.
This event is much more than just a competition, it is an all around on-snow festival.
There will be a sponsor village with music set up on the deck of the Bear Lodge, and ice cave for the kids.

10 - 11 Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge - Racing fun for the whole family. The Mountain Dew team will set up the venue for you to enjoy all day long. Race gates will be set up on Snowshed on Saturday. Registration to race the gates is free and will be held in the Snowshed Lodge at the DJ booth, set up especially for this event. There will be tons of prizes for the winners of the race and tons of raffle prizes as well.
Sunday the events move to Pico.

15 - 17 Boarding for Breast Cancer - This is a fantastic weekend dedicated to raising money and awareness to help fight breast cancer. Our goal is to raise $25,000 over the weekend. Please join us for all the fun and help us meet our goal.

29 - 3 Sprint US Freestyle Championships - Aside from competition,live music and a product expo and festival will take place in and around the Bear Mountain Lodge.

Bear Mountain Rail Jam Challenge - The finals for the four part skier only rail jam series. This event will be held on a special set up of rails just below the Superpipe at Bear Mountain.
Prizes will be awarded for the top skiers in this jam and an overall top skier for the series will be crowned.

10th Annual Sunshine Daydream Festival - A tribute to the Grateful Dead. Jerry-followers as well as those who simply enjoy soulful music will find an all-day party plus classic New England spring skiing and riding.
On or off the snow, Deadheads and wanna-bes will find activities for all ages.
Ben & Jerry`s will be giving out free samples of ice cream, plus there will be a mini shakedown, drum circles and tie-dying.

25th Annual Pond Skimming - The contest, known for its wacky costumes and wet antics, is part of Killington`s long spring line-up of events.
The pond, located at the base of the Superstar trail, is then filled with chilled water. Contestants begin the skim by gathering up as much speed as possible then attempt to slide across the pond and to make it to the other side without getting wet.
The event will happen rain or shine.

9 - 10 26th Annual Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge - Each year 200 amateur bumpers line up to show their stuff in this annual spring event on Outer Limits, the steepest mogul slope in eastern North America, covering 1,200 feet of vertical in a half a mile.
Spectators relax in the sun at the bottom of the trail on lawn chairs and sofas with barbecue grills and coolers in tow, ready to officially celebrate the rites of spring skiing.
Yes, there's even a cook-off in the crowd too, complete with trophies.

16 - 17 Spring Loaded - Join hundreds of other snowboarders in the final snowboard event of the season.
Sat. - Pipe Competition and Night Rail Jam. This will also be the finals for the three part snowboard rail jam series.
Sun. - Slopestyle.
