Hiking trails at Lake Wister State Park include the Lone Star Interpretative Trail, a 3/4 mile self-guided nature trail which winds through forest and up to a rocky ridge that runs through the park.

The Lighthorseman trail is 3.2 miles one way or 6.4 round trip. The trails are multi-purpose for both hiking and mountain bikes.
