mornings. Come experience one-of-a-kind architecture, lush gardens, and inspiring
statuary in person. Guided tours of our
historic Mansion, gardens, grounds,
Casino, McAuley Heritage Chapel, and the
Raymond Hall Complex are available.
Note: The tour takes about 1.5 hours and includes approximately
45 minutes of outdoor walking on uneven and partially uphill
paths. The walking tour is NOT wheelchair accessible. In the event of
inclement weather, the outdoor walking tour will be abbreviated,
and a video program will be substituted.

21 Mrs. Gould Welcomes Lillian Russell - Born Helen Louise Leonard in Clinton, Iowa, Lillian Russell initially studied voice with the goal of becoming an opera singer. Ultimately, however, she settled on a career on the popular musical stage, and in 1879 she made her New York stage debut in the chorus of Gilbert and Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore. By the late 1880s, she reigned supreme as America's favorite star of light opera and musical revues. Though married four times, Lillian was probably best known as the woman on the arm of the flamboyant Diamond Jim Brady. Join "Lillian Russell" for an unforgettable tea with "Mrs. Gould," and enjoy a lyrical afternoon.

10 Holocaust Exhibit (Original Paintings) - A unique exhibit consisting of 40 original paintings, depicting the ten traumatic years 1938-1948. Military artist Frank McGinley captures important scenes, personalities, and some unknown history of this era. Collaborative effort between the Strand Theater/Georgian Court University/United Jewish Federation putting together an exhibit depicting the Holocaust and history of the event.

11 Valasquez: Portraits of History - The artist to the court of Philip IV of Spain, Diego Rodriguez de Silva y Vel'zquez captured the likenesses of the most important people and families of Europe, including royals, financiers, popes, and other heads of state, and was knighted for his work. His artwork inspired 'douard Manet, Salvador Dali, and Pablo Picasso. Munch on a tapasstyle dinner and then examine the life and masterpieces of this quiet and prolific man.

14 Nonviolence Awareness Week - Join GCU faculty members, community members, and special guest speakers for a weeklong series of presentations and lectures on nonviolence awareness. The sessions will cover an array of multidisciplinary
topics related to the Sisters of Mercy Critical Concern. The week will conclude with a Peace Festival celebrating the victories the pursuit
of nonviolence has afforded the world so far and opportunities for
individuals to make a difference in their own communities and beyond.

18 Cognitive Therapy for Challening Problems - Keynote speaker Leslie Sokol, Ph.D., distinguished founding fellow and past president of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, will offer her
insights on the application of cognitive therapy to various clinical issues. This
program, co-sponsored by the GCU Counseling Psychology Program and the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research, allows participants to select either the half-day program
featuring Dr. Sokol or the full-day program that also includes opportunities
for experiential training activities. Dr. Sokol, a close associate of Aaron T. Beck, M.D., the world-renowned
founder of cognitive behavior therapy, has lectured both nationally and internationally. She has extensive experience in private practice, hospital, and clinical training settings.

15 Rubens: Documenting Worlds Both Fantastical and Real - Peter Paul Rubens painted it all: portraits, historical events, landscapes, and mythological subjects. Supported by the Medicis and knighted by both Philip IV of Spain and Charles V of England, this father of eight children was influenced both by his Catholic upbringing and his role in the Reformation.
