Minium Fossil Quarry Mural

category : Arts
Minium Fossil Quarry Mural On the south side of Main Street is the beautiful facade of the Citizen's State Bank featuring a brick mural by Nebraska artist Jack Curran. The mural depicts flora and fauna discovered in the Minium Fossil Quarry north of town. Six to eight million years ago the Minium Quarry was a watering hole for the animals depicted in the mural. They shared this grassland savanna with vegetation such as hackberrys, elms, and several sedges.
